OAK PARQUET PORTFOLIO

Oak flooring is becoming increasingly popular when specified as something a little bit different - in the form of parquet flooring.  Below are pictures of some installations we have done, as well as the possibilities that are available.

High traffic floors - Daytona, Melrose arch

Daytona Melrose Arch is where you'll find one of our latest projects.  Unfinished, engineered oak planks were glued down to form these spectacular floors complementing the impressive cars in the show room - you did notice the cars?  The floors were stained to the client's requirement and then sealed with a water-based, commercial grade, matt sealer imported from Loba in Germany.

Rosebank Townhouse

Engineered oak herringbone flooring

An engineered oak, herringbone floor was specified for the renovation of this townhouse in Rosebank.  In addition to the lounge floor, the entrance hall, a staircase and the upstairs living areas also had new oak floors installed in 220mm wide planks.  The unfinished oak flooring was stained and sealed with Loba 2K Impact oil white - this was done before the floors were installed to save on installation time and to ensure the floors were properly cured before they were used.  The sub-floor was primed with Wakol PU280, and the floors were glued down using a specialised Wakol flooring adhesive.  New skirting boards were painted white and installed after the floors to cover the expansion gap required for a wooden floor.

Blair Atholl Estate

Super-engineered oak herringbone flooring

We installed a factory pre-finished engineered oak floor in the living area of this house in Blair Atholl Estate in a herringbone pattern.  Neat and clean - wood floors at their best.

McCullogh & Bothwell - Hyde Park

Solid Oak Chevron Flooring - brushed and stained caramel

A brushed oak, caramel stained oak chevron floor was specially ordered for the revamp of the shop in Hyde Park.  With proper maintenance this oak floor has held up exceptionally well in a popular shop.

Bang & Olufsen

Melrose Arch, Mall of Africa, V&A Waterfront

Bang & Olufsen's new shops were specified with a pre-finished engineered oak herringbone floor.  There were a few challenges around the installations of these floors - with a specially designed structure to ensure best results from their sound systems.

Scotch & Soda - Hyde Park

Bespoke solid oak herringbone flooring - sealed with Loba Invisible Protect to keep the colour light and the floor properly protected in a retail environment.

Jamie's Italian - Melrose Arch

Engineered oak flooring

An engineered oak floor was specified for this restaurant in Melrose Arch - the downstairs are in a plank layout and upstairs in a chevron pattern.  The floors were site stained with Loba Procolour stains and sealed with two coats of Loba 2K Duo commercial grade sealer.  Brass finish trim was custom made to finish the floor edges.
